The database server is the heart of any transaction-oriented or media-rich application. Many corporations choose Oracle's database server for this vital applications component. VeriCenter provides Managed Services for our customers using Oracle database server. VeriCenter's primary focus is on Oracle 9i and 10g. With Oracle Database 10g, the first relational database designed for grid computing, your information is securely consolidated and always available. VeriCenter also provides support on a case-by-case basis for earlier versions, such as 8i and 7.x. If you are using a pre-9i version, please contact your customer account manager.
There are two editions of Oracle database server:
Database Server Standard Edition - Supports up to 4 processors and a database size of 500GB. Designed for organizations supporting less than 1,000 users.
Database Server Enterprise Edition - Supports databases up to 8 Exabytes (8,192 Terabytes).
