VeriCenter understands that there is no substitute for having competent people within arm’s reach of your equipment, 24x7, no exceptions. In today's competitive business environment, a responsive team of qualified technicians, permanently available to perform your physical-layer tasks, is invaluable. VeriCenter’s onsite services provide that permanently available function. Full-time VeriCenter employees are onsite at all data centers at all times. These teams become familiar with your hosted infrastructure and are standing by to serve as an extension of your staff. VeriCenter onsite services include:
Reactive Support
“Smart hands and feet” are available for performing reboots, reporting visual display information from devices, establishing “crash cart” connections for console commands, performing issue diagnosis or troubleshooting at the direction of the customer, and performing emergency break-fix component replacement or ad-hoc services at the customer’s request.
Proactive Support
VeriCenter resources can perform regular maintenance activities and scheduled tasks, such as backup tape rotations, scheduled restarts and reboots, planned testing, and other agreed-upon project work, as directed by the customer.
Shipping and Receiving
Customers can request use of a VeriCenter facility shipping address, loading dock, and shipping/receiving processes for devices, parts, software, or other items needed for their hosted environment. VeriCenter onsite services are available to accept, confirm, and store customer shipments, as needed.
Vendor Coordination and Administration
VeriCenter onsite resources will coordinate with your vendors to arrange for approved onsite access to equipment. VeriCenter onsite resources strictly adhere to formally documented security processes and procedures regarding physical security. Check-in verification and authentication are required elements of site access for customers, or representatives of customers, in all cases. Video surveillance systems provide recorded evidence of traffic and can be shared with customers, if warranted. Customers’ specialized physical security needs can be met by VeriCenter onsite resources where business requirements dictate.
