VeriCenter offers a variety of shared and dedicated storage solutions to meet a broad range of enterprise requirements. For organizations that need secure, high-availability, expandable data storage, VeriCenter’s shared storage area network (SAN) is a cost-effective option, compared with purchasing a fixed-capacity system. If terabyte-plus capacity or data replication is required, VeriCenter provisions and manages both direct-attached and SAN from industry-leading vendors. Less mission-critical and near-real-time storage is accommodated with network- and fibre-attached SATA.
VeriCenter offers four distinct classes of storage for integration into complex or enterprise system configurations. The level of availability and performance guarantees differentiates each class of storage.
SAN
VeriCenter can supply storage on either the shared SAN infrastructure in each of our data centers or with units dedicated to a customer’s environment. Special features of SAN units include choice of single or dual HBA connections, standard RAID levels, fibre or serial ATA drives, volume management and dual-path technologies, and scalability options.
Direct Attached
Data availability on the various types of directly attached devices is managed to high degree of reliability. Special features include SCSI or Fibre Channel connections, fully configurable RAID options, redundant switch/controller configuration, and various vendor software-based technologies.
Network Appliance NAS
VeriCenter can provision dedicated NAS devices based on customer requirements. Special features include IP-based network access and fully configurable RAID options.
Server Resident SCSI RAID Configurations
These RAID configurations are provided through caching RAID controllers installed in servers. Depending on the controller configuration, data storage performance and availability can be maximized to meet your requirements.
