VeriCenter can provision various types of server equipment from leading providers, such as Sun and HP, to meet your needs. VeriCenter's support staff is comprised of certified experts proficient in hardware troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution. VeriCenter's staff provides complete installation, configuration, and testing of your server environment. Once the environment is operational, VeriCenter provides maintenance in partnership with equipment manufacturers and third-party service providers. VeriCenter supplies spare components or, if needed, complete systems from onsite inventory.
Storage Administration
VeriCenter has a dedicated team that specializes in the implementation, troubleshooting, and provisioning of storage area network (SAN) infrastructure, SAN- , and network attached storage (NAS)-based storage, and data protection. Data availability is managed and monitored, and multiple levels of data protection are available. Our storage experts will work with you to determine storage requirements, allocation of different storage tiers, and data protection requirements and options.
Classes of Storage
VeriCenter offers four distinct classes of storage for integration into complex or enterprise system configurations. The level of availability and performance guarantees differentiates each class of storage.
Modular Arrays
VeriCenter can supply storage on either the centralized storage infrastructure in each of our data centers or with disk arrays dedicated to a customer’s environment. Special features of our modular disk arrays and centralized SAN include fully redundant components, dual HBA connections to servers, standard RAID levels, high-performance (Fibre Channel) or capacity disks (SATA), volume management, and scalability options.
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
VeriCenter can provision dedicated NAS devices based on customer requirements. Special features include IP-based network access and fully configurable RAID options.
Direct Attached Storage
Data availability on the various types of directly attached devices is managed to a high degree of reliability. Special features include SCSI or Fibre Channel connectivity, fully configurable RAID options, redundant switch/controller configuration, and various vendor software-based technologies.
Server Resident SCSI RAID Configurations
These RAID configurations are provided through caching RAID controllers installed in servers. Depending on the controller configuration, data storage performance and availability can be maximized to meet your requirements.
